Robby Burns Resting Place and more…

My climb up Jacob’s Ladder landed me at a monument to Robert Burns.

These two characters were hanging out in the shade of a sycamore.

I walked around the monument to see if I could get a shot with more light and stumbled into a small garden and then down to a cemetery.

This is Old Calton Hill Cemetery, one of five in the city, three of which I visited.

This path through the graveyard is a well used shortcut from Calton hill to the Royal Mile in Old Town.

I would have liked to have gotten here earlier in the day when the shadows were longer, but the sun comes up at 4am and sets at 11 so that’s a challenge I didn’t pull off, so these will have to do.

I looked at a lot of headstones but didn’t find a Kirk or McNeil among them.
